Vici’s Noah Halderman – Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Town of Vici Nursing Home

When high school athletes step out onto the court or field, they are doing more than just playing a game. They are wearing the name of their school across their chest and playing, which means they are playing for more than just themselves.

Noah Halderman is a dual sport athlete at Vici High School. He says that representing his community is an important part of what he does.

“It means a lot to be able to play for my community,” he said. “A lot of the people in my community are people that I’ve known and looked up to my entire life.”

Halderman plays basketball and baseball for the Indians. He is also a member of the academic bowl, Future Farmers of America, and the National Honor Society.

Throughout his life, Noah has had a number of people that have impacted his life and helped shape him into the person that he has become.

“One person that motivates me the most is my brother,” he said. “He always has a positive attitude and encourages me all the time. My family is my biggest role model because they do nothing but try to help me and that is how I want to act toward people. Finally, Trisha Salisbury is my teacher that has been influential in my life. She has helped me and taught me the most and she has been enthusiastic throughout all of it.”

The teammates that Noah competes alongside have also played a big role in his growth.

“My favorite player to work against in practice is Andrew Keeton in basketball,” Halderman said. “He’s strong and he gives me a good challenge. I know he will be a very skilled player in the future. Also, I think that my basketball teammate, Taggert Moss is underrated. He’s very strong and you can always count on him for rebounds and hustle value.”

When he is not working on school work, practicing, or playing sports, Halderman likes to check out social media.

“My favorite person to follow on social media is Noel Deyzel,” he said. “He gives quality life advice and workout advice.”
