Woodward Area Hometown Hero Nominees 2022 – Presented By Great Plains Bank

Kadan Delatorre (Balko-Forgan) – Kaden brings a strong competitive spirit to everything he does. He also does his best to be a role model to the younger athletes.

Beaver Kiersten King – King is a terrific student-athlete and is a great teammate and friend to those around her. 

Caleb Arthaud (Boise City) – While he has dealt with injury issues, Caleb has worked hard to work through them and overcome them. He is a fantastic leader in the community, and he sets a great example with faith and hard work.

Morgan Swank (Hooker) – Morgan has consistently led in honoring the veterans of the community and country. Each year she has led the Veteran’s Day program and served food for the veterans at a brunch organized by the student council and FFA. This fall, as FFA president, she organized a ceremony at our first home high school football game to honor the 13 servicemen who died in Afghanistan this fall. In the 2020-2021 school year, the school had two custodians gone for sickness and surgery. Morgan, along with 4-5 others, volunteered to fill in after school for approximately two weeks.

Maria Sosa (Laverne) – Maria is always willing to jump in and help with any event the community has going on. She reads books to the early head start children and is very involved in the school.

Trey Meliza (Mooreland) – Trey Meliza has an all-around great attitude. He’s always positive and checks in on people to see if they need help in any way. He is a servant leader who is not afraid to work alongside others to improve our school and his community.

Emalee Shook (Seiling) – Emalee is a tough competitor on the basketball court. She works hard to be her best. Away from basketball, she is an outstanding student and person.

Tabor Marlatt (Sharon-Mutual) – Tabor is a five-sport athlete that is not afraid of hard work. He is a solid representative for SMHS.

Caden Laverty (Shattuck) – Caden is an honor student, carries a 4.0 GPA, and is a state pole vault champion.

Roberto Hernandez (Tyrone) – Roberto is a fan favorite in Tyrone. Not just because of his athletic skills but also because of his outstanding personality and the way he is always willing to help others.

Ed Corona (Woodward) – Ed is someone that has great school spirit and is ready to help a classmate or teammate at a moment’s notice.
