Alva’s Brady Lott Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Northwest Technology Center

Companies around the country use various kinds of advertising to help promote their products and services. No matter how much they spend on that, sometimes the best advertising is word of mouth that people share. That is exactly what helped Brady Lott decide to attend Northwest Technology Center.

“I first heard about tech from other students that were going there,” Lott said. “Their opinions of it are what made me interested in attending.”

Along with attending the Alva campus of the Northwest Technology Center, Brady is also a sophomore at Alva High School. As a student at Northwest Tech, Lott is in the Computer and Business Program. He says that he enjoys being in that program and it is helping him get ready for the future.

“The classes are extremely flexible and in a relaxed environment,” he said. “I also like being able to get all of my foreign language credits in one year. The class is preparing me by giving me some experience that would be similar to a job.”

At Alva, Brady is a member of the Future Farmers of America program, Key Club, and the student council. He says the FFA is a great organization to be a part of and he has enjoyed his time in it.

“I like that I am able to meet new people within the FFA,” he said. “My most memorable moment is winning the Angus Bred and Owned Heifer show at the Oklahoma Youth Expo.”

Throughout his life, Brady has had a number of people that have been influential to him. He says that here is one that has really made a big impact.

“The biggest influence in my life is Mr. Nation,” Brady said. “He was my Ag teacher up until this year. He has had a big impact on my life and my FFA experience.”

While he still has a couple of years before he graduates, Lott is keeping his options open on what career he will choose.

“I am not sure what I exactly want to do after high school but at the moment dentistry is something I am interested in.”
